Ioannis “John” Ioannou, Audiologist, has over 25 years of experience providing exceptional hearing health care services. As a licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser in the state of New York, he also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology as a member of the American-Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (ASHA). John received his Master’s Degree in Audiology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.

As the former Executive Director of Lexington Hearing & Speech Center of the Lexington School for the Deaf, John led his team to provide services to the Deaf students of the largest school for the Deaf in New York. During this time, he also led a number of special programs including, Early Intervention Program, Speech Language Pathology Program, and Hearing Conservation Programs aimed to preserve and protect remaining hearing and emphasize the importance of hearing protection devices.

John Ioannou has supervised a program funded by the Oppenheimer & Haas Trust, in which hearing health care and evaluations were performed for Jewish children in New York City. He served as an early intervention administrator of the program which was constructed to assist preschoolers from Yeshiva Schools.

Furthermore, John continues to supervise Doctoral Residents in Audiology from all local universities in the New York City area. In addition, in 2007, John developed and administered a program with the Cerebral Palsy Association of New York State to evaluate all of their residents and patients.

After these various experiences, John decided to join Brooklyn Audiology Associates. Through this private practice, he incorporates his special interest in cognition and hearing. His compassionate nature and extensive knowledge in audiology enables him to exceptionally serve those with communication and hearing difficulties.

John can communicate in English, Greek, and American Sign Language.
